Up more than 40 percent in 5 months, especially when the market has been struggling a bit is no mean feat. Roger knows exactly when and how to manage risk versus reward. Now my only regret is that I did not scale into this system sooner.
I have read many of the reviews, and find the negative ones to be far off base. If someone is looking for a system that is correct every single time, they will always be looking because it doesnt exist. Most of those traders are overly reactive and emotional, and hence unlikely to find investing success. ETF Timer is a great system. The vast majority of the time the system takes the correct side of the trade and mitigates risk by scaling in to and out of positions. It still outperforms any equity index, and trades seldomly compared to most systems. Never use one system as your entire strategy, but use multiple. With that in mind, ETF Timer is a great addition to any portfolio
What a disappointment. After a very promising start with a frequent trading style, taking small profits but also cutting losses short the vendor all of a sudden lets a Crude Oil contract run up a huge loss in relation to the account size and his previous trading style. He replies to my question that the market will turn around for a big profit. A few minutes afterwards he changed his mind, takes the loss and reverses the trade - now he lets that trade also run into a big loss. Why do traders change their successful trading styles?
Without any type of standard review criteria its hard to say whats a 2,3,4... etc. I just feel One"N"Go is a 4 star system. You know what your max losses are going to be and the history so far says if you stick with the system you will make money. I believe until something changes the system is 4 star.
I have at one point or another been a subscriber to probably a dozen C2 systems since summer 2010. All of them looked good and most had at least a year of trading history. Eventually most of them tripped and started losing money. I think its fair to say that 95 percent of whats for sale on C2 is garbage. LongRun Special, however, stands out as the one system on which I made the most so far. Even with Interactive Brokers there have been cases where I couldnt locate shares for shorting but that more the exception than the rule. Also, sometimes shares become available at a later date, so it pays to keep an eye open. I give the system top scores for out-of-sample consistency.
This is the 3rd C2 system I have subscribed to and the one I like the best. Topaz finds oversold stocks and sells them within 12 days. I like that it only takes a few mintues in the morning to trade the system and I do not have to check in during the day. I do not use margin, so each trade I use 5 percent of capital. Topaz is not for small accounts since some days there are 20 trades, but most trades are positive with a occasional big loser
I cant say this is a bad system-it may be a fine one-but it is highly leveraged. Thats how it can return 44+ percent trading short term bond futures. Currently long 8 ED X $2,500 multiplier @ 99.618 = $1,992,360 of exposure to Eurodollars in a $158,641 model account. Current total leverage is about 20:1, and has been higher. It has recently broken its steady uptrend. System may have gotten a one time boost from falling interest rates this year.
I have been a subscriber for 1 month. Over that month I have made a nice steady profit but more importantantly, have been very impressed with the risk management at TrendTrax. The developer is also very responsive. Great start for TrendTrax.
This system was showing exceptional results till just a couple of weeks back when something started going awry and the position size suddenly increased as well, at the worst possible time. Hope it regains its original glory soon.
Starting to wonder about this system. The tight stops are nice risk control but seems like they will result in very low win percent. Lots of small losers can lead to death by a thousand cuts.
There are circumstances when it can be justified to start trading a new system even if it has only a short history on C2, for example, when the developer has been trading the system or a substantially similar system for several years with good results in his own account and provides good documentation as in this case. Confidence is further enhanced by knowing that he uses the same signals he sends to C2 for his own and family accounts. In addition, support for any questions and inquiries has been excellent. Naturally, the system has benefitted from the recent volatility of commodity prices but still has avoided sharp give-backs of the profits and has outperformed any other commodity system during its history on C2.
I am impressed with Topaz. Its very consistent, low risk and easy to use. I would recommend it to any level trader. C2 rating of 1000 is nothing to sneeze at.
Developer has stated that during the historical tests the down draw was as much as 45%.

Last day with Babson ETF. Started out with such potential but went down hill fast. Vendor seems to have lost interest as funds are mostly in cash. Wont get excited about short term results again. Good luck if anyone remains.
This one is a non-starter... does not justify the $199/month price tag... you can easily find better systems here at C2. In fact, you may be better off with a stock trading system -- less risk and cost -- than this one.
Ask yourselves two questions before subscribing:
1- Would you like to trade with an undisciplined vendor?
2- Would you like to risk more than 20 times than the reward?
If your answer is no for both questions, then never ever subscribe to this strategy.
Vendor should have learned the meaning of RISK before opening the strategy to public since you will have open positions with no stoploss during overnight without attending.
I believe this system will give mostly winning trades especially in a non trending market. There are no stops so more contracts are added as the Dax moves against the trade direction. This moves the average price closer to the current price.
The system will work unless there is a long trend with no semi major change of direction like the current market has for the last couple of months.
Soon there are many open contracts along with a huge losing position than almost anybody could be comfortable with.
I am unsubscribing for now but will probably rejoin after the government stops manipulating the market.
A very dangerous system, unless you have really DEEP pockets. I think this is meant for institutional investors with accounts in excess of a million dollars.
Previous review spot on. In my brief time with Dax Catching, trader would add contracts as it moved against him, resulting in the drawdown that began Oct 4, 2010. The market may bail him out, but its a risky system. System often trades one contract at a time, so there is no way to scale down from the current $1 million model account. Not appropriate for smaller accounts.
I scaled up 2 weeks ago and caught the upswing for this system.
The system is a "sleep-at-night" trading vehicle that also fits my IRA.
The system does what I have been unable to do..find a basket of the intermediate-term ETFs that are trending up...globally.
I like the inclusion of inverse and ultras, 2x and 3x ETFs.
Great methodolgy!
I have been a subscriber for several months. Some of them were positive, but most negative. I think this system was excellent when the market was driven more by pricing, momentum, and technical fundamentals such as slow stochastics. I think that right now this system is ineffective because the market psychology and direction is driven predominantly by the latest policy decisions and earnings releases. I will let my subscription end now until the system starts to be able to predictably function in the existing market conditions.
