Gen 3 - Mini S&P Only

A great trader, a fully automatized system, with good backtest results: so what is the problem? Look at the equity curve and then you know: it does not work [actually I am relying here also on experience from Gen2]. Very positive market and the system is unsuccessful. - Not even break-even, let alone, recovering the fee. Based on the simulations the system might be good, but it does not seem to work in real life. [While writing this, we are down $600 for the day and ~$1000 for the week.... Let alone the fees I paid for Gen3 and Gen2.. much money went wasted.. Even, if the trader is award-winning, the systems here certainly are not..

I agree with the rating of the previous reviewer. Conservative investors in particular will appreciate this system.

ETF Timer

I started Autotrading this about 5 months ago. It has been relatively placid, which I dont mind. It has been profitable. I am pleased with the experience. This is not a get rich quick scheme, but it has produced steady results so far.

HouseAdvantage

This is a good system. The only problem is after Collective2 skims off the additonal $2 per round trip contract and you pay the monthly fee you lose money. So if you are payng your broker $4 RT, Collective 2 gets another $2 per side. The total cost per 1 contract trade is $8

PIPALERT

I dropped the system after it went from a fee of $60 per month to $60 per profitable trade. If you use a stop loss you will most likely stop out of your trade. I never got a chance to give a good review as the fee changed right after I subscribed.

PIPALERT

This system has no risk management at all. It relies on waiting until the prices become profitable which may not always happen. Charging $60 per profitable trade recommendation is very expensive unless you are trading a very large account. This type of pricing further encourages the reckless risk taking behaviour by waiting until profitable to ensure the fee to the provider.

forex trends

I have been subscribing to this system for few months. Although I was quite happy about it I asked few questions considering there has been an auto- losing trade of -3pips where I used a stop and manually got out with a +82pips .... disappointing for a ... "trending system" right! Here was the answer I got from the system admin: "hello, crystal ball fell on the floor and broke, probably good time to unsubscribe" ...Tells a lot. No matter how good a system is, ppl buy from ppl .... no more from that person.

Antares A10.2

I have only been subscribed to this system for a couple of weeks, but from my initial experience this system works exactly as advertised. The entry orders are limits, so my entry prices have matched those reported by C2. I have not experienced much slippage on the exits, since the stocks are usually very liquid. I also like that fact that the vendor has a site that reports more of the system details and backtest statistics. It appears he also waited to accept subscribers until after a year of forward testing, which indicates to me he is not just trying to make a quick buck.

FxTiming

Exceptional system and service!!! The system provider has very clever risk controls in place, which allows to control drawdown to acceptable levels. The equity curve is the smoothest one I have seen anywhere. Risk management is the key to the kingdom of financial independence.I love the system provider's feedback and market analysis, which he sends to subscribers almost on daily basis. Honestly, I have not seen this levels of service excellence in my life. No doubt, a five star system!!!

Emini eXpress

I tried this for a month. It was the worst signal provider and full of confusion.

Trader's Prophets

The Vendor has done a great job keeping us informed of how the system is working and performing. The trades, in most cases, are low risk and work out nicely. The performance is very good. I also like the fact that blogs and forum posts are writted by the vendor. This system is seems to be more for day traders and short term trading. I like this because it reduces the overnight risk. I am very intersted in seeing how their 2nd swing swing trade system will work perform. They have wrote that this is more for overnights. Seems to be doing well now and will subscribe soon since they are offering a discount if you subscribe to both of their systems.

snake eyes

I subscribed to this system for quite some time. After starting out well, it faltered, recovered, faltered again. - you see it at the trading curve. The trading itself is rather disciplined. All orders are brackets, so there is clear stop-loss as well. One or two trades typically a day. - Sometimes none. So the problem of this approach is none of the standard problems like over-leveraging. The basic problem seems simply to be that the signals are not good enough. You can compare the C2 results with the developer system description. - If you factor in the rather high fee, this system is a clear looser. If you wonder, why I still give it two stars: I value a disciplined trading approach, even if it is not fully successful.

Collective

alg forex will make once in a time make a good entry but will never take profit so end up with big losses. very dangerous and not honest

LongRun

I used to subscribe to this system and I feel like the first review on it is a bit unfair. I no longer subscribe to this system bc $150/month is a bit much for me as my trading account is rather small. I do feel that this is a good system though.

More than 80% of the trades are profitable. Annual return is 36%+ with an 11% DD. That’s a multiple of about 3.2 which is very good. High Realism Factor factor. I look for systems that went through the fall of 2008 which was a major DD period. Tradan did just fine. Buys with stop orders placed at market open. The web site indicates that the NUMBER OF SUBSCRIBERS IS LIMITED TO 5. I would think Tradan will be closing soon to new subscribers. This appears to be a winner!

Captura DTS System

Good system. The track record now of about three years does confirms the concept. The only thing I got worried a bit was the tendency of adding to loosing positions which gives them a higher weight on the overall exposure. It may work out of course in case of a rebound but will create a bigger single loss if not. Otherwise I found the system is easy to trade and good.

LongRun

When I first signed up for this system using OptionsXpress it purchased four times the amount of securities that it should have. When I pointed this out, they [Collective2 ?] apologized and quickly sold 3/4 of the positions causing me to incur a $ 2,000 loss with a $ 60,000 portfolio. I do not believe this was LongRuns problem. May not have been Collective 2s fault either. However, I did notice that OptionsXpress was unable to fill several short sales because they did not have the stock available. On two ocassions, they sold 1 share short. So I had two $ 9.95 commissions for a $ 17 stock. Maybe that is why the realisom factor is so low on this system. I cancelled after about 6 weeks. Maybe it would work better with another Broker

ETF Timer

The last review on this system is completely baseless. Ive been a subscriber for quite a while and the system manager is not taking on any more risk than in the past. BTW, the system is only 65 percent invested not 85 as the reviewer claims.

ETF Timer

Time to move on.. I recommend this system during a trending market, however that is not the current condition. In order to capture his past performance the manager is taking on greater risk. 85 percent of a portfolio in qld which is a double leveraged etf is similar to hold 170 percent of qqqq. If you have access to the trade history, take a look how we made money verses what he has done the past 3-4 month. It has been a difficult decision to exit, but I will sit on sidelines until the market starts trending again.

Forex Alpha

This system works, but in a scary way. There are constant small gains, with few losses, but this is only achieved through no use of stop-losses. The system description is rubbish. "Risking 1 percent equity per trade"? There are open drawdowns of 15 to 20 percent. System adds to losing positions, current open losing position as of Feb 24th 2010 is 75 emini contracts. This drew my equity down 15 percent at one point. It may turn around and recover this time, but this system is setting up a subscriber for a very bad day in the future.

GBPJPY Only

This system says it protects capital, well if protecting capital means not using stop losses then blow me down. The current losing position may well turn around, but at the moment im having great fun. The stats prior to this trade showed promise, but if i were you, keep away from this system, very poor money management

FxTiming

Good communication with the system vendor. I had absolutly no problem trading this system with InteractiveBrokers, but you definetly need a consistent broker, because you are reliant on a good fill. I have chosen this system, because it keeps drawdowns to a acceptable minimum and has perfect stats, as I am writing this review. One star dump, because the system is just 4 months old and I think it could be difficult to trade it with less than 20000USD, but for those who have large capital, this is a exceptional system.

Hunter333

This Signal Provider MMA eurusd got caught and caused a large DD. I decided to Dump him. I would like to see more input by C2 to help choosing Signal Providers.

PIPALERT

The system actually has two sides. It provides nice small returns on a study basis. However, if you look deeper, this is mostly based on allowing several magnitudes higher intermediate drawdowns, as the system does not handle any kind of stop-loss - and perhaps reenter later at a more favorable price. So, the question is: are small returns the high drawdowns worth.. you may risk all this.. - everyone has to answer this for one-self. But if you trade it: trade it only very small leverage..

Rainier

There are several excellent long only stock system on C2 which are based on quantitative statistical analysis, in fact, most of them have a higher return since March 09 when this incredible bull market started. I got attracted to this one because of the low drawdown and my hunch that it will also perform well in a bear market. So far during this correction I have not been disappointed.
