Of all the futures systems with more than 1 year record this one has one of the best stats. The frequency of trading will be improved with more subscribers but for now the system does not trade consistently month-to-month. The subscription fee is competitive especially for professionally managed system.
This system was doing well but the author has not made a trade now in over 5 weeks. No response from the author as to whether he is still alive and kicking. Thinking of moving on...
Everyone below me who ratred this system poorly. Obviously is over leveraged. His biggest peak to valley drawdown is 14% which you put in the context of hie 154% a year compounding is excellent. I would put the 2 morons below me in the catagory of the usual forex morons who want to make 100% a month with a 10 pip stoploss. DELUSIONAL
I am very impress with this system. I understand that the position moves are relatively small, but I love the accuracy of this system. I can only hope that the developer will expand his methods to other markets.
The system seems very good. I've made money without suffering significant draw-downs. In addition, it is very easy to trade manually with low commissions.
Umm...to be fair to the system's programmer - it has had a great 2012, sadly i may have joined after its death. Since December it just seems to either a) not trade b) if it trades it loses money or c) makes $15...
Like watching paint dry.
Reported as a fully automated algorithmic signal generator. There has been
a 10 fold increase in the average losses figure (other indicators have also
worsened). Its highly probable that there is a structural weakness in the
algorithm / software 'bug'. The draw downs were concurrent with the system
description but their proximity is of great note. The system manager is
communicative but responses to technical enquirers are dealt with in a
'light – touch' manner (excl proprietary). The manager has given himself
the milestone of recovering the situation around end Jan. My plan is to
unsubscribe but review the situation at the start of Feb to see if the
milestone was achieved. The previous performance was very good before this
algorithmic area of weakness was revealed.
This system seems to be professionally managed and perhaps after some adjustments it can be profitable. Right not it is not the case. Have to give lower rating because of recent performance.
The developer is a skillful, experienced, and disciplined trader. He consistently demonstrates patience in waiting for the trade to set up – never chasing after trades. The developer stays calm and collected when the market is going against existing trades – focusing instead on adhering to system rules. The developer communicates well – providing specific and insightful commentary before and after a trade takes place. He is also very accessible and responsive to questions and concerns. Prospective subscribers can derive some comfort from independently tracked record on Collective2 dating back to late 2007 -- before a major bear market. The system’s performance across a wide variety (and extreme!) market conditions (bull/bear and high/low volatilities) is particularly remarkable.
This is a good system: it doesn't take excessive risk, and the manager pays close attention to his trades and communicates well. The system manager is a real professional, with a good long-term track record (not all of it on C2). He avoids trading during periods of market stress. Trade fills are simple. Very good so far!
This system is currently reaping its fundamental weakness -- it has an open loss of $31,000 which more than eats up the total of small wins (typically $200-600) over the past weeks. If you look through the trades, the system by and large 'sells' and then grabs a small profit. This works fine when the market is in serpentine mode (up / down / trading range) but is a disaster if there is a decent rally as the current situation shows. There appears to be no money management at work as this massive system loss has been allowed to grow worse and worse. Avoid!
The seeming initial smooth equity curve luring prospective subscribers into trading the system, then reality set in with badly managed trades which cause a steep drop down in equity curve(50%). 3 correlated trades all in RED at huge losses. Why 3 trades of the same? No diversification? With diversification, then may be 1 of them can be green and offset the other losses. Also the timing is BAD. Close to Christmas and end of year and with Fiscal Cliff hanging in US, the market is very uncertain. Now almost all subscribers incur this latest losses. What's next for them? Stay? Leave? Exit with losses? or staying waiting for recovery? With 15k account, the current pending loss is 33% and if it balloon into 10k loss, then it represents 66% account loss!
This system is exceptional. The risk is very well managed both by specific trades taken, as well as the percentage of system capital employed overall. It is easy to follow, and autotrading is not required. Communication is also good.
This system will make you money, without keeping you up at night. This is among the best systems on C2.
Wow, How things can turn from a good month to a bad month very quickly! Just a few losses already brought down the equity curve by 2/3 (picture worths a thousand words). This is a high risk system and the recent loosing streak keep hitting the stop loss very quickly and turn all its trades into high risk catagory. Unfortunately the wins are smaller than the loss and it seem we have not been able to hit a big win and therefore most wins are small. Hopefully next year will be better. Only time can tell
The last review that gives the system a five star seems suspicious. I admit that the system still have a pretty good track record but the last trade was really poorly managed. The avg profit per trade for this system is around 20-40 dollars. On the last trade the developer kept adding to the loosing position, he doubled the size when the loss was around $200, then added more when the loss was around $600, added more when loss was around $900 even though it was very obvious that the trade kept going against us. This is againist any trading strategy that is out there. There was no reason to ride this once the loss crossed $600.
I am still going to stay a subscriber to this system and I am hoping that we will cover the losses in next 2 months or so.
The developer is very experienced, trades his own money, communicates frequently and thoughtfully, and stuck to his stated emergency stop loss rule. That an 11% drawdown can't be stomached by some subscribers in a system which still boasts very impressive statistics after this loss speaks more of them, their choice of leverage and their risk tolerance more than it does about this system.
Finally the AX came down. I knew it is just a matter of time the system will crash. Without exception, all high win rate, martingale type systems will crash. I'm glad I just lost a few dollars and is happy to shut down my auto trade to prevent further losses in the future because the worst draw down is one that will be in the future. So investors, be careful with Forex Trading system because the final verdict is: WE WILL LOOSE MONEY. I think this is end of my forex trading. I still have the one more on C2 and it is not doing well either, waiting for me to shut down again one more time. Consider this SMALL draw down is your gift for this Christmas because you could even loosing bigger if it did not exit the trade. I give it 2 stars since the developer is also trading this system.
