Appears to be abandoned - no trades in over 2 months. Shame as it was a good system based upon Fib/EW analysis. Vendor should shut it down if it's abandoned
Previously good system has fallen on hard times - was an active trading system (hourly/daily) but has stayed short for almost 2 months - the trade has gone from a loser to winner and back to a large loser. Frustrating it didn't get out as a winner (with the market very oversold). I'm willing to ride out drawdowns but 2 month holds are not what I signed up for with this system. Wondering if the vendor has completely abandoned this system as it appears there has been on C2 logon in almost a month
I would have liked to continue with this system but something is wrong with the way orders are placed, sometimes I end up with 3 contracts while there should be only one. Unfortunately the vendor does not respond to messages - therefor I regard continueing too risky.
This system lost me money, although to be fair, I only traded it for about three weeks. Couldn't bare any more losses. There doesn't seem to be a clear trading strategy here. The biggest dissappointment was that although I autotraded using a GEN3 system, rarely did I ever get a fill at the same price as the system. No fault to the system in this case, but nonetheless, it didn't work for me.
Even does not deserve one star. System description full of crap such as 10 points gain almost every 24hr cycle (losing since Nov 3rd), no weekly loss (removed later this, but we are about to have two weekly losses in a row), only one loss in a month for night signals (we had 4 in a row in the last 4 days) etc. When you ask about these, all you get is excuses.
System owner promised 2 signals per night but when successive losses started, he invented a third signal at 9.30am, so he is changing the rules to save the day. He is completely lost and not following rules when things go down. NEVER EVER SUBSCRIBE TO A SYSTEM WHICH DOES NOT HAVE A PROVEN TRACK RECORD. Instead of paying too much attention to fancy payment methods, system owner should focus on system performance.
Original review 7/9/09: "What a disaster. Don't be fooled by the performance figures; they are very misleading. Regularly gets direction wrong, then just keeps adding to the position to average down. If you have a small account, it's impossible to keep up with, so performance is actually far worse. Look at 7/8/09 GY trade; drawdown of 522 pips! This averaging down often works out, but it only needs to fail a couple of times to wipe out your account. Look at Jan 2009 performance; gee, I wonder if that will happen again?? LOL Despite the arrogant note left by the developer on home page, this is a very dangerous system. Stay away."
Stopped trading the system: overall results are not too bad, if you like at the performance curve. However, if you make a personalized one, that factors in the commissions, etc. you see that it is actually significantly losing money recently.
This corresponds to my real experience.. Moreover, the system does try to scalp, but it does not protect with stop loss - thus all the big movers are actually losers.. - winners are only small.
Finally, it is actually a bit much, if you try to autotrade this with a Gen1 technology. The number of signals and the speed can actually bring significant problems with it.
System does not add to losing trades like so many other scalping systems which ultimately fail spectacularly, so that is a definite plus. However, the fills are utter fantasy and I find myself falling out of sync with the system multiple times per day. If one were to setup autotrading such that limit orders are converted to market orders when fills are reported the slippage incurred would comprise a large bulk of a trades gains or add crucial ticks to losers. For this reason, I cannot recommend this system to anyone who does not have the time to carefully babysit it during trading hours.
I was subscribed to this system but because I need a system that can be autotrade without having a computer on all the time, the only broker was optionsxpress and for some reason it most of the time it was not able to execute the trades this system generates at 3:59 with 50 seconds pm.
1st impression with autotrading: Watched as shorts in a downward trending day were exited quickly (within minutes) at little profit or a less. Now the program is selling into a strongly trending up day, short 4 ES and sitting on the biggest draw down in 4 months.
Since May, system is in a downtrend with lower highs ans lower lows. System developer seems to be an honest guy and offers good support and insight, but my pain threshold is reached now. This system is eating too much money, especially after commissions and subscriptions costs.
After a long break eQuants is back. But unfortunately it has changed to a hold and hope system which takes small profits quickly and lets the losing trades run.
Generally a fairly painless system to trade, although it does have some pretty lengthy flatline periods...Note Sept 08 through April 09 and mid-May 09 through the end of October 09...Other than a brief blip up from May 1-15, 2009 there have been no other sustained runs of any significance over the past 15 months. The Good News, of course, is that it has also not lost any money. However without a more sustained equity curve up, this has been a somewhat lackluster performance overall.
Just a couple of weeks ago, most trades would immediately be followed by ever-changing stops, several per trade many times. However, over the past week, the developer seems to have chucked stops out the window. After spending several weeks scalping $20 profits on exceptionally close stops, the past 2 trades have been horrific losers, accounting for a 5-figure loss if you trade the recommended lots. I exited the most recent position with a loss that hurt, but not as much as those still holding on. Turned off Autotrade, will review for the next month of paid subscription to see if the developer is able to get back to winning ways.
Twitter feed from system owner says it all "I'm short, I'm underwater, I'm fielding margin calls. I'm sticking with it." System has been short for a 7 day 6% rally and with INTC easily beating expectations, tomorrow will probably extend streak in the wrong direction.
The system is experiencing a trading method change. both profit target and stop loss has widened dramatically. I paused my autotrade for now, and watch for several trades and see.
one side note is that past performance may not be a good reference due to the method change.
The trader gives the impression that he is clinging to big losses. Every once in a while a trade is made and no stop is set - or the stop is even removed - without further stops and then we have a big loss.. then a number of small trades are made winning, then again a loss.
It seems the provider is sometimes simply not accepting that some trades do not work out as planned.
Moreover, it seems the system was strongly changed since it is FOR profit - so watch out. It was for free until it hit 1 Mio then it was rescaled by 1:10 and since then it has not generated any profit any more!!
it goes up and down below the break-even..
So, since then only fees, no return..
The provider actually fine wrt. communication. Though there are some who are communicating more - and more regularly.
In the market, timing is everything, don't I know it. Started using this system at it's peak. Stuck with it during draw downs. Can't stick with it any longer. It seems the vendor has no interest in subscribers or making money. Perhaps this is just an exercise for him. There are much better systems out there.
Trading 1 contract since June 09. Ignoring July hit, since Aug. 1 churn has made performance disappointing. 52 trades with unavoidable cost of clearing $1.16/side and C2 system fee of $1.99 and $89/month subscription has generated over $460 in fees vs $820 in profit (trading 1 contract). Burning cash waiting for slump to end.
I am not sure which party is failing (Vendor, C2, Tradebullet or IB) but realism factor is definitely low, because today (9/14) system opened 2 NG positions whereas my real account on IB opened 4 and didn't open the long position which was the only profitable trade today. Considering the win ratio at 36.5%, missing one trade (and especially if it is the profitable one) costs dearly.
I'm subscribed to several other systems on C2 and I didn't have any other execution problems except this one.
this system is one of the finest on C2. Almost 3 years averaging 8 trades per month and great profits. All the stats indicate a solid system will minimal DD risk. The 2 star review is an insult. No new trades for 6 days so you bash the system?
I'll print the chart, frame it and hang it over my bed - it's just too pretty! Congrats to the "trader", a drawdown of 87.15% is quite something and your mother would be proud of you. Ever thought of applying for an entry in the Guiness Book of World Records? Keep it up, my friend, you are the man!
